Our big day has come and gone!  Our annual golf outing is our largest fundraiser of the year and it is a day our golf committee worked very hard on for many many months.

Save The Date! Tuesday September 8, 2015!

Article contributed by John Opsahl

Save the Date - Sept 8Well, thankfully the cold spell has finally snapped and Spring is in the air!   While some of you might not remember where you stored your clubs at the end of last season, others may have already been to one of the indoor ranges and are trying to figure out when you will be able to get in your first round of golf in outside!

If you are reading this article via our email newsletter then you are more than likely aware of (or have attended) our annual golf outing sometime in the past 11 years. But did you know that the golf outing is our sole fundraiser each year? It really does provide Food For Friends the majority of resources necessary to provide food to those in need in and around the Chicagoland area the entire year.

Looking back to 2014, last year’s golf outing was successful. We were blessed by our generous golfers to raise just over $39,000 after all expenses were paid. This was once again our best year to date and we hope to meet and exceed that number for 2015. So, whether you are only planning to play a few rounds this year or are one of those who likes to play a few rounds per week, our hope is that one of those rounds will be on Tuesday, September 8, 2015. That is the date for our 2015 golf outing!!

For those of y0u who have online calendars that can process ics files, we have set up an ics file for you to use at FFF – Calendar File for Annual Golf Outing and Dinner Fundraiser.

But you don’t need to golf to come to the golf outing. We also have a great dinner and raffle planned for that day. So we would love to have you join us. It is a great way to connect with friends for the day, have some laughs and most importantly “Pay It Forward – Help Those In Need”.   So put the golf outing and dinner on your calendar now for September 8, 2015

Later this spring we will be back in touch via email to provide more details on the golf outing. As always, you can stay in touch with the latest news via our website and our Facebook page.
