Event Recap – The Music Box Foundation – Easter Dinner April 21, 2019

Volunteers line up for a picture at the Music Box Foundation Easter Dinner

On Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019, Music Foundation celebrated its 2ndannual Easter celebration in partnership with Food For Friends.  Food For Friends provided the funds for the meal (catered by Lee’n Eddies (https://www.leeneddies.com) and also organized the volunteers.

The community Easter dinner was a success serving 200 meals to seniors, veterans, homeless citizens, young families and friends in the South Shore Community.  The meal was blessed by a pastor which consisted of Fried chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, meatballs, pasta , ham and jello.  Everyone enjoyed the meal and several returned for a second serving.

Guests were entertained by the “Seniors in Style” Line Dancers.  Also, our own “Silver Fox” Brooks serenaded the crowd with an Oldie-but-Goody.

The community enjoyed the event very much.

Music Box Foundation would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to Food for Friends for donating the food and organizing the wonderful volunteers. All the volunteers were amazing.
