Event Recap: Fellowship Housing Holiday Dinner – December 5, 2019

The Fellowship Housing moms and their children enjoy some crafts during the annual Christmas dinner

On Thursday, December 5, 2019, Food For Friends sponsored again Fellowship Housing Christmas Party which is designed to give the moms and their kids a chance to celebrate the holidays.

Food For Friends provided dinner for approximately 50 adults and 45 children. Everyone had pizza and salad. The families enjoyed very much. There was plenty of leftover food, the Mom’s were super grateful to be able to take some home.

Mrs. Clause stopped by to visit with the children. The kids were very excited to see her. They also had few different activities for kids like decorating a tree and other crafts to make ornaments.

Special thank you goes to Ben and Val Opsahl, Food For Friends volunteers, for helping make this event a big success. We appreciate all the time they put into organizing and running such a successful event.

We received the following email from Fellowship Housing a few days after the event.

The Christmas party was a huge success! Thank you again for providing the food for all of the moms and kids at the party. The salad and pizza were delicious. We had about 70 moms and kids in attendance and everyone enjoyed the food. There was even some leftover for the moms to take with them. We appreciate your thoughtfulness and generosity.  Heather Corins, LCSW, Program Director – Fellowship Housing
