Special thank yous to Joan and Trudy (FFF volunteers) and Ryan and Connor from Lake Zurich Chapel Service who assembled, transported and distributed the groceries for this event.  And Special thank you to Pam Orr from Fellowship Housing not only for setting up the event and providing the boxes we used, but for all she does for Fellowship Housing. Food For Friends provided 20 boxes and bags of dry, canned goods, some fresh vegetables, snacks, and treats.

As the pandemic continues, Food for Friends continues to find opportunities to assist those in need.  We are delighted that Food For Friends was able to provide some much-needed assistance in the form of groceries to 20 single moms from the Fellowship Housing program.

On Saturday, May 16, 2020 Food For Friends provided 20 boxes and bags of dry, canned goods, some fresh vegetables, snacks, and treats for the mothers and children of Fellowship Housing.  The Food For Friends blue bags were filled with food items and also a $25 grocery gift card.

In order to minimize the risk of the families we served, all items were assembled in advance and placed on the sidewalk for curbside delivery into their car trunks.  A table was set up with donated books for the mothers and children to take home. Everyone was kept safe and socially distanced.

All of the moms who participated in this event were obviously thankful for our combined efforts.
