Tuesday, December 1, 2020 is known as “Giving Day“. It is in that spirit that I am writing to you, to ask for your consideration in donating additional resources to Food For Friends this year.
Specifically, we are asking for gifts of monetary donations that will help us buy food so we can respond quickly and positively to the numerous requests for help.

As most of you know, this time of year is normally our ‘busy season’ of serving events. In addition, we have received an unprecedented number of requests from those in need and we could use additional resources to respond to this staggering demand. As this pandemic continues to impact nearly every aspect of our lives, Food For Friends remains committed to our mission serving people in need no matter their gender, race, ethnicity or status in life. We feel called to step forward to help bridge the gap, Connect, and Give Hope especially now during this awful time of pandemic.
There are two ways you can donate at this time. If you are online, you can go to our website www.foodforfriends.org and use the Donate button on the left side of the page. Or you can send a check to Food For Friends at P.O. Box 2423, Palatine, IL 60078-2423.
The Bible tells us that Jesus calls us to serve those who have less and where people are lost or fallen into hard times. We read in the Bible Psalms 34:18 “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those crushed in spirit”. Right now, there are so many people out there that are brokenhearted and these are exactly the families we are hoping to reach this holiday season. They are lost, hungry, cold, lonely and many are crushed in spirt.
We can’t solve all the problems that cause hunger, but we can all Connect, and Give Hope!
Thank you for your consideration.
Dan
