On December 10, 2022, Food For Friends partnered with San Miguel School located in Back of the Yards, Chicago. We served the families of the students that attend San Miguel with a warm meal catered by Lee N' Eddies Catering company.
This was possibly through our dedicated volunteers, our sponsor Sesajal, and San Miguel staff, Maria Esperanza. The delicious meal served included herb chicken, Mostaccioli marinara, California blend vegetables, seasoned parmesan potato wedges and dinner rolls.
In addition to the meal, families that attended received a free winter coat for each child in their family. It was a true blessing to spend our Saturday with the lovely families of San Miguel School.
